Men of Maple Corner Model Selection Criteria

2003 Calendar model selection process

The Board of Directors of the MCCC will appoint a Working Calendar Committee which will vote on the following selection criteria.

Goals:

To produce the best quality calendar possible.
Calendar should reflect a broad range of ages and body types.
To have model selection be as:

Balanced
Diverse
Inclusive
Random and Fair as possible.

Criteria:

Must be minimum 18 years old and male.
Should have strong ties to the Maple Corner Community Center. Either presently or historically Working, Volunteering, Participating in Events etc.
Available for a reasonable amount of promotional signings and possible media events.

Process:

All names submitted will be sorted into 3 age groups.
Each age group will be divided into rough groupings of body types.
Where there are multiple qualified model candidates in one age group they will be picked blindly.
All candidates not selected will be begged for their forgiveness and encouraged to participate in other aspects of the 2003 calendar. ie; Men of Maple Corner for Decency Protest Group photo, volunteering for various promotional and production efforts etc.

To put your name in the hat, you can go to the Maple Corner Store, and literally "put your name in the hat" or you can call Matt Myers at 456-8888 or e-mail webmaster@vermonty.com

Update: As of July 10th it is now to late to put your name in. The following men have been chosen to be Calendar Boys for The Men of Maple Corner 2003 with their proposed months:

January - Rob Chase (48) furniture maker
February - Eric Oberg (49) granite sculptor
March - George Morse (74) retired mainframe computer operator
April - Don Singleton (52) mechanical assembler
May - Jon Sairs (45), Mark Whitman (35), and Russell Perham (36), builder, carpenter, and master electrician
June - Charles Woodard (57) painter
July - Jack Bradt (57) cabinetmaker
August - Jay Myers (72), and Jamie Moorby (19) retired, college student
September - Jim Chamberlain (35) realtor/garbage man
October - Peter Burke (51) granite salesman
November - Peter Morse (44) builder
December - Steve Sweeney(50) accountant, and Kevin Sweeney (21) college student
January 2004 - The 13th month, will be given to the "Maple Corner Men for Decency", The Clothed Men, also known as the "Sour Grapes & Wrath Singers"
